Ananda Aleman
Dixon Resources Unlimited
Business Operations Manager

I would like to express my interest and apply for the position of Board Member with Texas Parking & Transportation Association. As an active community member in the state of Texas I am eager to contribute my skills to TPTA’s vision, mission and key priorities. During my thirteen years of experience in the parking and transportation industry I have achieved awards and accomplished the procurement of many established projects. Most recently, I was inducted into the National Parking Association’s “40 Under 40” class of 2020.

My career in the parking industry began in 2009, as the Accounting Manager for IPS Group, Inc. (IPS). I joined the company when IPS was just beginning to make a name for itself in the parking industry with its innovative single-space smart parking meter. IPS would later go on to win several large contracts, including Los Angeles and San Francisco, deploy meters throughout North America, and expand to international markets. As part of this growth trajectory, IPS delivered 25,000 meters to San Francisco under very strict contract terms. I was personally responsible for procuring all the necessary components to keep production on schedule, coordinating dozens of vendors and forecasting material requirements for components with up to forty-week lead times.

This month I will be celebrating my fifth year as Business Operations Manager with Dixon Resources Unlimited. I am committed as President Julie Dixon’s right-hand resource and support for the DIXON staff with accounting and administration, business development, contract review and negotiation. I also support DIXON’s clients with financial analysis and have helped develop a tool that has since become one of DIXON’s primary product offerings.

Since 2017 I have aided DIXON in the planning and successful coordination of dozens of parking industry networking events, including parking forums in both Northern and Southern California. I work closely with Julie to solicit event sponsors, manage contact lists, and coordinate events for the San Diego Parking and Transportation networking group. I created a presentation entitled “Big Ideas for Smaller Cities,” which was presented at both PIE and PIPTA. I have served on the International Parking & Mobility Institute (IPMI) awards committee for the past two years and will continue this role in 2022.

I know that TPTA is a leader in the parking industry and only seeks the most qualified board members.

My experience, passion for the industry, and eagerness to serve on this exemplary board define the reasons I am applying for this role. With over 13 years of experience in this field, my dedication and creative problem-solving will continue to develop my knowledge and support the industry with new solutions to complex and evolving challenges.

Thank you for your time and consideration of my candidacy.

Sincerely,

Ananda Aleman
